Welcome to the NDE Institute of Trinidad (NDEIT)!
NDEIT is the first and only Internationally Accredited NDT Training Centre throughout Trinidad & Tobago and the Caribbean. We are also the only NDT Training Centre throughout the Caribbean to offer ISO9712 training and Certification Examinations.
Although we are situated within the West Indies and our main purpose is to provide quality NDT training for the local Caribbean Regions, NDEIT is open to anyone who wishes to learn NDT.
Whether you are a student just coming out of University or a Technical Institute or you are an experienced engineer, inspector or technician, NDEIT can supply you with your NDT Training and Certification needs.
We are an Independent "Third Party" NDT Training Centre. This simply means that our NDT training is Not employer based and therefore is more widely accepted throughout the world.
Our NDT training and course certificates are Recognized and Approved by the Canadian Institute for NDE (CINDE). NDEIT is also Accredited by The British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (BINDT) as an Approved Training Organization (ATO) and Approved Qualifying Body (AQB) and offer PCN training and certification. PCN is the world's most recognized and largest ISO-9712 NDT certification standard.
CINDE is one of the most reputable NDT training institutes throughout Canada and the rest of the world. Having our NDT courses and course certificates Recognized by CINDE and BINDT means that all of our training manuals, procedures and workshops are all in full compliance with CINDE's and BINDT's training and examination requirements.
We are the only centre in the Caribbean to offer ISO9712 training. This means our training meets and exceeds ASNT SNT-TC-1A, CP-189 and ACCP requirements.
Our NDT training courses and certificates are also approved and recognized by the Canadian NDT Certifying Agency managed by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan). NRCan's NDT Certifying Agency is a Certifying Body for ISO9712 certification. This means that anyone who passes our NDT training courses have met the requirements for NDT classroom training set forth by ISO and NRCan in order to sit their CAN/CGSB-48.9712-2014 certification exam.
NRCan's CGSB certification is recognized worldwide. A CGSB certified NDT inspector can use his or her certification throughout Canada, Japan and even the United States.
NDEIT is also the only Approved Special Examination Centre (AEC) for NRCan throughout the entire Caribbean. This means that if you wish to sit your ISO9712 certification exam, you can do so at our centre.
Our NDT training centre is equipped with the required NDT testing equipment. From full Fluorescent Liquid Penetrant Stations to a 3000amp Fluorescent Magnetic Particle Horizontal Wet Bench. Unlike employer based NDT training that may only have portable Yokes and a kit of aerosol cans, you get to work with equipment that is used in production plants around the world.
We also have a wide array of Castings, Forgings, Rolling and Welded flawed test specimens for you to train on.
Our NDT Training Courses are also designed to be small. Most of our classes have a maximum capacity of 12 students. This is done so that all of our students have a chance to train with our equipment. By keeping the classes small, it also enables us to have the time to work with each student on a one-on-one basis if needed.
