NDE Institute of Trinidad Ltd. (NDEIT) is happy to announce that we have expanded our student and inspector employment search program to Canada.

Most of our students and local Trinidad NDT companies are aware that NDEIT has for the past 3 years been helping students and employers with their NDT employment needs. Because of our international acceptance and recognition, one of Canada’s largest NDT supplier, ACUREN, has requested NDEIT to assist in searching for local and regional qualified and trained NDT inspectors for contract work in Canada.

ACUREN employs over 2000 NDT inspectors for various positions within the Petrochemical, Nuclear, Mining and Aerospace industry. They are currently seeking for immediate employment, qualified Level 2 Ultrasonic Testing Technicians to work in the nuclear industry in Canada:

"Temporary Workers Needed in Canada:  Leading Canadian service company has multiple openings for certified Level 2 UT operators for nuclear plant outages in the first half of 2009.  Typical assignments will be 4 to 16 weeks duration per season.  Canadian (CGSB) certification is required; some assistance will be provided to meet this requirement prior to assignment.  Terms of employment include travel to Canada, medical insurance and accommodation assistance.  Compensation will be competitive and in accordance with a collective agreement.  A security clearance and drug and alcohol testing will be required before travelling to Canada.  Employer will pay and make arrangements for temporary worker visas in Canada"

Because one of the requirements to work within Canada as an NDT inspector is to be certified to the CGSB standard, you will be required to pass the CGSB certification exam as well as meet the training requirements to sit these exams. NDEIT is an authorized training and testing centre for the CGSB examinations, therefore we can assist all applicants to meet CGSB’s certification requirements by additional training courses, practical workshops and administer CGSB written certification exams. So whether you are a seasoned Level 2 UT inspector or even a Level 1 inspector who feels that with our help and guidance can pass the certification exams and benefit from expanding your skills and knowledge by working in Canada we at NDEIT are willing to help you.

It has always been the goal of NDEIT to properly promote NDT and assist with the growth of the NDT community.
